In Memory of Pilot
Mile Marker CCVII

Standing here, not really doing anything,
I write with a broken pen.
It is such a shame, for I truly like it.
But the ink is very low, and I can
no longer attach it to my paper.
The chewed cap begs of mercy,
a grip worn too smooth.
I keep putting it off though.
One more letter, one more word,
one more line.
This pen and I have been through alot.
It has become a close friend,
a part of my family.
It saddens me, yet, I must say goodbye,
find another faithful companion.
Rest peacefully in sleep, and may God
bless you, as he has blessed me.
I will miss you my dear Pilot Pen.-02L
