Quivering Pine's Morning Kiss

in Muskoka's awakening slumber
lies the quivering pine's morning kiss,
oh what fragrance impassioned allures us,
what magnetic attraction, what bliss,
perchance that pine-scented lipgloss
will so sweetly enamel the land,
with a perfect and undented covering,
where in beauty your pines lithely stand.
oh perfume of springtimes rehearsal
for the wedding of summer's green pines,
their elopement with earth and her rainfall,
with the sun o'er the world as it shines,
in their coats God-embroidered of needles,
carefully trimmed with a border of cones,
now prepared for their honeymoon summer,
a sweet wonder, their kiss ever hones.
