Today I visited the patents office...again!.|
Fidgeting nervously in the waiting room
with the contents of my brief case,
thoughts galloped hastily, carelessly
towards a particular obsession of mine.
The invention of an incredibly ingenious
stainless steel slide
to keep the utensil drawer organised
in my kitchen.
Each sliding segment has a concave facet
so that it all swings together smoothly.
My dear wife says that it will rescue her
from the perpetual re-organisation
of that clutter in the gadget drawer
that just grows and grows
like coathangers in the wardrobe
or those odd socks in with my undies.
She is so excited about it,
regarding my design
as a license to print money.
Is this where I attain my first million?
Can I order the Porche now?
