The Bug

It flies in through window
As my cat jumps out
I stare at the little creature
Murmuring words of welcome

The bag inches through
The window sill to a plant
And settles on the large leaf
Feeling the moist green surface

For days the bug stays
Making the plant its home
When I put it out for sunlight
Bug says goodbye to the plant.
