Special Congratulations Peggy Paris
Peggy's poem Happy Mother's Day was selected by our sponsor Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service for their Mother's Day Bookmark
Happy Mother's Day!
Mothers are a lot of things
Hidden 'neath two apron strings---
Sewing needles, colored threads,
Eyes in fronts and backs of heads,
Hands to help and hearts to love,
Wisdom sent from up above,
Baking cookies - such a plus,
Seeing all the best in us!
On this day, we honor you;
We were paper; you were glue.
Fixing things along the way,
You taught us to laugh and pray.
Memories live in our hearts
Where we.re never far apart.
Happy Mother's Day!

Whether you like free verse or structured forms of poetry, Michael (Bronze Dragon) and all the FOS-ers invite you to try one of the five fun features in the Form Over Substance (FOS) arena!
The Limerick Gimerick Challenge - Write a limerick using the "character" given by the last post and then leave your own character for the next limerick-er to use!
The Pantoum Kingdom - This is Bronze Dragon's pet project, you might say. The Dragon has been called often "The Pantoum King." Well, the "King" wants to invite you to his kingdom. Each entry is written to continue the pantoum, without end, eventually hopefully forming the world's longest pantoum! Can we build it? Yes we can!
Once Upon a Haiku - Our haiku chain, is still going strong. If you love reading or writing haiku, come write one using the last topic given, and leave your topic for the next haiku - come join in!
Form Over Substance Challenge - The original challenge that started nearly three years ago is still going strong. Each week we'll provide a new form of poetry for you to work with and share.
